Principal's Welcome

Francie BossI am looking forward to beginning a new school year at DJR School.  Dr. Julian Rogus is such a wonderful community filled with great families, teachers, and staff. I look forward to the year ahead.

This is my seventeenth year in the district. I served as a kindergarten teacher at Dr. Julian Rogus for six years, I was the Assistant Principal of Rogus for three years, I was the Arbury Hills School Principal for seven years and am now excited to head back to Rogus to serve as the Kindergarten Principal.

Summit Hill is an outstanding district and I am so proud to be a part of a district that truly focuses on the needs of our students. I am excited to work with the outstanding team here at Rogus, and I look forward to partnering with all of you to continue to address the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students.

Together we will be focusing on the needs of each student and helping them all to be successful. The staff at Rogus is such a professional and caring group of educators and I look forward to working with them to do great things for our students!

Please always feel free to reach out to me to address any concerns you may have.

Colin BradleyGreetings and welcome to the Rogus family!  As a seventh year Rogus Elementary principal, I continue to be excited with the opportunity to educate and serve our students and their families.  Acceptance, belonging, and community have been long standing values at DJR and I remain grateful to have joined a school team that works diligently to instill these beliefs every day.  I joined the Summit Hill community as an assistant principal at SHJH in 2015 and have been a classroom teacher and administrator for over twenty years.

I live in Plainfield, Illinois with my wife and two boys and our dog Waffles.  In my free time I love to spend time outdoors camping, cycling, or just reading a good book under the shade of a tree on a sunny day.  During the winter months, my family enjoys board game nights, warm fires, and ski trips.

This year’s district theme is “Vision161” and we will be promoting our vision at DJR for all our students by focusing on student growth and social and emotional connections.  All of our students deserve a year of growth during their time with us through engaging instruction, meaningful relationships and by having a safe and positive school environment.  We will work persistently as an educational team to provide this for all of our students and families.

Tracy BulferWelcome to Rogus!  This will be my eighth year as assistant principal.  I have been in education for over 20 years and have been a teacher and an instructional coach.

Outside of the Rogus family, I have a family of my own.  I live in Schererville, Indiana with my husband and two sons.  I also have a dog named, Rizzo.  I love spending time going to Cubs games and at the beach with my family. I also enjoy watching my boys participate in their sports and activities and taking Rizzo for walks.

It is important to that everyone feels like they are a part of the Rogus family where we value acceptance, belonging, and community.  Everything we do at Rogus involves our PBIS expectations of being respectful, responsible, safe, and kind.  This year we are focusing on thinking big for our students and staff and asking them to take risks and try new things.  We recognize that each of our students are individuals with different learning goals.  We want to help our students achieve those goals.
